Honoring “Super” Stephen Osbourne: A Memorial Workout for a Beloved Member

At Fight Fitness, we believe in more than just physical strength; we believe in community, support, and honoring those who have touched our lives. On April 7, 2024, we came together to celebrate the life of our late member, “Super” Stephen Osbourne, in a special memorial workout event.

The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and determination as members pushed themselves through challenging workouts, all in remembrance of Stephen. Alongside our sweat and dedication, we also raised an incredible $1475, thanks to the generosity of our members and the sale of special t-shirts featuring Stephen’s favorite quote, “Trust The Process.”

These funds will go towards supporting Stephen’s beloved team, the Toronto Blue Jays, through their Jays Care Foundation. But what exactly does the Jays Care Foundation do?

Jays Care Foundation is committed to using the power of baseball to create lasting social change for children and youth across Canada. Through various programs and initiatives, they focus on areas such as education, physical activity, social inclusion, and mental health.

One of their flagship programs is the Rookie League, which provides opportunities for children and youth facing barriers to participate in baseball and softball programs. They also support educational initiatives like the Home Run Scholars program, which helps students achieve their academic goals while fostering leadership skills.

Additionally, Jays Care Foundation partners with organizations to create safe spaces for play and learning, ensuring that all children, regardless of background or circumstance, have access to the benefits of sports and education.

By contributing to the Jays Care Foundation through our memorial workout for Stephen Osbourne, Fight Fitness and its members are not only honoring his memory but also making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth across Canada. We are proud to be part of such a caring and supportive community, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference together.
