Name: Lynne Matthews
Occupation: Teacher
How long have you been part of the #FIGHTFAM: 1-3 years

What was your life like prior to joining?
I was working out at a large chain fitness club with a trainer, and independently, but did not see much in the way of results with respect to weight loss and I was getting bored.

What RESULTS have you experienced training with us?
The first 10 months of my membership resulted in a 30.7 lb weight loss. I found that I was sleeping better and I had more energy. I maintained my weight fairly consistently until I was injured. I am now focusing on rehabbing my injury and losing the weight that I gained while limited in my activity.

What’s is your favourite class/Workout and WHY?
This is a tough question to answer. I love all three classes. Each one presents a different set of challenges. If I had to pick only one, I would say kickboxing as it is what drew me to Fight Fitness. I love the different combinations and how punches and kicks are incorporated together. My absolute favourite class is the Annihilator. Having a number of coaches delivering a challenging workout involving all 3 classes is awesome. In addition, the charity aspect is a huge draw for me. Fight Fitness giving back to the community and supporting so many charities and organizations makes Fight Fitness stand out above others in the business..

What is some advice you’d give to someone starting?
Don’t give up. Be patient. Creating positive change takes time. Sometimes you take two steps forward and one back. The important thing is that you keep moving.

What is a quote or mantra that keeps you motivated?
As Dory in “Finding Nemo” said, “Just keep swimming”. When you are facing a challenge, when something is hard, when you are tired, just keeping going. The sense of accomplishment and success you feel when you meet the challenge and finish the workout is the best reward.
