"Our intention creates reality"!

With broadly recognized certifications in Fitness Kickboxing and Kettlebell instruction and a spirit for learning, Sean has even taken his training overseas to work closely with professional Muay Thai fighters to sharpen his skills and expertise.

It's very easy to give a testimonial for Sean as has a enthusiastic personality. Sean approaches coaching the same way he does his own training, all out. Being a coach I know how hard it is to get people engaged time after time and class after class. One could say it takes a lot out of you but the beauty of what Sean brings is that each class is like it's it's first for the day. He is excited to see everyone and to work with everyone, no matter how many classes he has done and no matter what time of day it is. That's a rare quality.

Personally Sean has helped me in that he pushes me and he challenges all with encouragement. Sean puts thought into his training sessions, they are well planned out and organized. He meets all at their needs, from the person who is in their first class to the person that has been there for many. Often times the person who has been to many doesn't receive they same attention as the person in the first, but not with Sean. As I said he finds new ways to challenge you, for you to bring more. He finds ways to encourage and get the class motivated. It's very easy for an athletic person to to be left to their own and assumed that they will find their own way to challenge themselves, but while this is often the case Sean's approach is one in the same with how he would like to be coached - pushed an challenges so that soon you find you are doing things you didn't think you still had in you.

Like I said, it's very easy to write a testimonial for Sean he brings a passion to what he does and it translates over to each class. Well done Sean, I'm happy to attend any class that I can of yours, no thinking twice because I know I will be motivated once I get there.

Laura Pino

Fitness Coach

"I found Fight Fitness through a Facebook ad. I attend classes as least twice per week I wanted to say that it has been evident how much coach Laura's confidence has grown from teaching her very first class on her own until now. As her confidence in her ability to teach has grown her classes have become more challenging. Her classes are always fun and provide a great workout and she always adds an element of something new. I would definitely recommend her classes to others.

Thanks Laura for kicking my ass!"

-Karen Carruthers

"I started at Fight Fit as a friend is a member in Markham and she bugged me to try it. I attend Laura’s classes once a week, sometimes 2. I really like her classes as there is good variety. Laura is very encouraging and quickly adapt an exercise when it is not possible to do it. I always feel that I have had a good workout after I leave her classes. I would recommend people to attend Laura’s classes. I wish she taught more of them at times I can attend."

I live very close to Fight Fitness Stouffville location. I drove by many times and saw the sign back in 2016. In March 2017, I decided to walk-in to get some information in one of my day-offs. Mid-September marks my half year journey fighting with Fight Fitness. I attend Laura's class on Fridays and some Thursdays.

Laura is a great motivator, coach and fitness instructor. She is always clear about all the moves and show you ways to improve your efficacy. I am always afraid of the big black tractor wheel. I tried to lift it before but I could not even move it an inch forward. Last night's class I tried it again, Laura encouraged me and she said "Amy, you can do it!" and she lift it with me and showed me how to use my legs to push forward and engage my muscles. We flipped it a few times! I understood most of the strength was from Laura, however, I appreciate how she helped me changing my "can't attitude" to a "can attitude". I know one day I can flip that big black tire all by myself.

My schedule won't allow me to join the weekend classes, so if I want to join Laura's class I need to come on Friday night. That helped me escape my Friday wings, beer, heavy dinner outside. I usually feel energized, tired, inspired, motivated, exhausted, awesome and sore after Friday's class with Laura. What a great way to start my weekends!

I recommend others to go to Laura's class because she is a no nonsense coach. She reminds me of G.I. Jane; I need to kick, punch and work within that hour in class with a non-stoppable attitude. She is not just a voice yelling at you to keep going but a force to drive you to push your limits and achieve your goals.

Josh is a life-long learner, seeking out masters in their disciplines to bring the best training experience to his fellow Ninjas. His journey so far includes:

  • canfitpro: Personal Training Specialist
  • CrossFit: Level 1 & Weightlifting Trainer
  • Fitness Kickboxing Canada: Kickboxing and MMA Level 1
  • Precision Nutrition: Level 2
  • Agatsu: Kettlebell Level 2, Movement & Mobility Level 2
  • GymnasticBodies: GB Athlete Certificate
  • Dmitry Klokov: Weightlifting Seminar
  • Lifesaving Skillz: Standard First Aid + CPR

In his spare time, he loves to make (and drink) coffee, draw stick figures, and explore the world. One of his favorite quotes is: "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few." --Shunryu Suzuki

"I was having lower back issues which made classes difficult for me, it was recommended that I take a few Personal training sessions with Josh. I explained to Josh my situation and that I wanted to strengthen my lower back to help with everyday life. Josh came back with strengthening exercises and explained each exercise and what it was helping me. He didn’t force me to continue something if it was hurting but he would change up the exercise.

He helped me focus on my movements with each exercise as well. Each week he added new exercises to help. Josh listens and guides your sessions to your needs, he also makes the sessions fun. I would recommend Josh for personal training session (his classes are fun as well)."

-Christina Ellerton

"I first started at Stouffville's Fight Fit in the fall of 2015 thanks to a reference from two friends who were already attending and knew it would be something I'd love. I haven't stopped since and I have all the amazing coaches to thank for that, but one in particular, coach Josh.

I attend 4 evening kickboxing classes a week (on average) among other classes and always look forward to Josh's the most.

Josh is truly talented in both the martial arts and coaching and it shows in each and every class. He teaches and demonstrates all moves with patience and skill to all individuals. His ability to help guide any individual regardless of their level is obvious and greatly appreciated. I personally enjoy being pushed past my limits and critiqued and coach Josh comes through every time. Nothing makes me happier than waking up in good pain the next day. THAT to me is success. THAT is what keeps me going and wanting more.

I have and continue to tell people about this place I call my second home. I talk about how welcoming it is for anyone wanting to keep or get into shape, and I talk about the amazing coaches. As long as coaches like Josh are there, my second home it will be."

-- Shay M.

"I have been a Fight Fit member for over 2 years. My motivation for starting a consistent workout routine is similar to most; more energy, manage my stress level (mommy of 3), better health, weight loss….we all know the advantages of being active. What I love about the journey down a healthy road is how quickly it becomes an addiction; a way of life of which the benefits spill over into so many other areas….making you a better version of YOU!

ightFit has offered me the opportunity to push what I thought I could physically do. It’s an environment rooted in support and positivity, a true family of where some of my most precious friendships began.

Though all of the FF coaches are fantastic, I make it a point every Wednesday night to attend Josh Wang’s Stouffville class. Josh’s classes NEVER disappoint. It’s an hour of kooky fun all the while continually perfecting form, working muscles, burning calories and pushing limits… I mean where else can you fly through the air and superhero slam!!!! Ka-Pow!!! I love how Josh goes back to the basics, where we really focus on pivoting and turning the right way to truly execute a combination to the full potential. There’s always something new, an unexpected twist, whether it’s a killer ab finisher or maybe a spinning kick burnout?

A FF beginner or a more seasoned member Josh easily tailors the class and makes it work for everyone, all the while delivering a KILLER WORKOUT! He takes the time to properly stretch at the end of each class (as much as I hate to do it), after working through one of Josh’s stretches I feel fantastic. During 2016 I set out to push my fitness limits and signed up for a few long distance runs, with one being the Scotia Bank half marathon in October. Throughout the training leading up to the runs, Josh offered advice for stretching, nutrition and recovery of those running muscles….thanks Josh for sharing your knowledge ☺

Josh consistently pursues and perfects his skill as an athlete. This spark and love of fitness spills over into his classes, where you have no choice but to be motivated to “PUSH”. Watching Josh execute a combination just naturally makes you work harder…..working towards a goal to make it look as “EASY” as he does (I know, I know, but a girl can dream… ;-))

I love my “hump day” Wednesday at 6:30. As my 9 year old daughter Elayna would say “Mom is Josh teaching tonight, cause if he is I’m coming to FF, his classes are so much FUN”.

Thanks Josh for all you do."

Lena is a recent graduate of both Centennial College’s Social Service Worker Diploma and First Peoples Stories: Indigenous Studies stackable credential. After graduating, Lena had made the choice to further her education to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree of Social Work (BSW) at Ryerson University. However, after only completing a year of university, she had found herself unable to concentrate on her studies as she had found herself constantly worrying about her weight-related issues.

After making the conscious choice to commit to getting healthy -not only for her self-esteem but most importantly, to set an example for her two daughters (ages 5 and 19 years old), she came across Fight Fitness’ 6-Week Challenge ad on Facebook. Upon completing the challenge in June 2018, she had lost 22.6lbs. While feeling her greatest that she had felt in many years, she had decided to become a client of Fight Fitness without hesitation to continue with her journey to live a healthier lifestyle. Little did she know that her transformation would be as great and life-changing as it was by losing a total of 70lbs since walking through Fight Fitness’ doors.

As a direct result of Fight Fitness’ great atmosphere, fun classes, excellent knowledge in health, helpful and friendly staff and coaches, she had fallen in love with the facility and made it her mission to be apart of the team. Now, as an administrator at Fight Fitness, she is blessed to have the opportunity to witness other people’s transformation and looks forward to a long future with the company.

Be sure to come to the front desk and introduce yourself when you come in for a workout…that’s if she does not catch you first!
